Practicing medicine has always been a dream of mine. I had no idea where I wanted to start and didn't know specifically how I wanted to achieve this goal. I knew I needed to get patient contact hours and I always had a passion for helping people. I saw Motlow State was offering a summer course in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), so I decided to take a leap of faith and register for it. This was probably the best decision I have ever made. I gained experience, friends, and a new family in EMS.
Motlow State Community College is hosting a series of "On Campus Registration Rush" events as part of its continuing focus on student enrollment and student success.
The "Rush" events are scheduled beginning August 10 at Motlow's Moore County and Fayetteville campuses. They are designed to facilitate students registering for Fall 2021 classes, which begin August 23.

Motlow State's very own theater instructor, Emily Seal, was awarded Arts Educator of the Decade during the 2020 BroadwayWorld Nashville awards.
"The award came in the middle of the pandemic when I had not stepped foot on a stage in a year. It was a nice light in the dark time," said Seal, an Associate Professor for Theatre and Communication who has worked at Motlow for ten years. "People voted online. Many of the community theatre members are the people who voted for me, and that was very kind."

Motlow State Community College and the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) signed a partnership in June that brings the mechatronics degree to Tullahoma with two classes this fall, and a plan to offer the full mechatronics associate degree at UTSI by Fall 2022.

Now, Alex is paying it forward and becoming a mentor herself.
Motlow State Community College is partnering with educators throughout Tennessee to use immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality in the learning environment. These tools, collectively known as XR or Immersive Learning, have proven to provide powerful learning outcomes in many fields. Tullahoma High School recently joined the XR Community of Practice with Motlow, adding to the growing number of educational institutions turning to immersive learning.
