Motlow State to offer Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training at Fayetteville campus in January

LYNCHBURG, TN (Nov. 12, 2016) — Motlow State Community College, in conjunction with Avion Unmanned Solutions, Inc., is offering Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) training in January at its Fayetteville campus, according to Debra Smith, assistant dean of career and technical programs at Motlow.

The course is scheduled for Jan. 9-13, 2017, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day. The cost per student is $1,800, and classes will be held in Room FC 023 at Motlow's Fayetteville campus. This forty (40) hour course includes both classroom and hands-on flight training and will include instruction or single and dual-operator UAS operations, camera/payload operations, crew communication and coordination and multiple training mission scenarios.
