Miss Tennessee to visit Motlow State for Miss Music Row Pageant
LYNCHBURG, TN (Sept. 13, 2016) — Miss Tennessee Grace Burgess and Miss Tennessee Outstanding Teen Leah Grace Humble will be attending the Miss Music Row Beauty Pageant, an official preliminary to Miss Tennessee/Miss America, on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Motlow State Community College. The official preliminary at Motlow will begin at 6 p.m. inside Powers Auditorium in Eoff Hall on the Moore County campus.
Miss Music Row pageant contestants for the Teen and Miss Division will compete in interview, talent, fitness, and evening gown. Miss Music Row will receive a $500 scholarship to the college of her choice and a $1,000 scholarship from Miss Tennessee. A Princess will be appointed from the Outstanding Teen contestants.
The Miss Music Row event will have a little girls pageant in the afternoon on Sept. 17, which is an open pageant for girls newborn to 12 years old, beginning at 1 p.m. The winner in the six to eight years age group will have the opportunity to attend Miss Tennessee in June and be the Iris Princess for Miss Music Row.
After six years of competing in the Miss America organization, Grace Burgess was crowned Miss Tennessee in June. She had competed for the Miss Tennessee crown for three years and also competed in the teen pageant. She is currently a senior at the University of Memphis studying child development.
Burgess recently competed for Miss America in Atlantic City, New Jersey, while Humble recently competed for Miss America Outstanding Teen in Orlando, Florida.
