About Motlow

The slogan, “Education for Life!” properly describes the teaching and learning community at Motlow State Community College. Opening its doors in 1969, Motlow continues as a center for lifelong learning and growth opportunities for more than 440,000 residents in Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, DeKalb, Franklin, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford, Van Buren, White, and Warren counties in southern middle Tennessee.

Motlow College is one of thirteen community colleges governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents, the sixth largest system of higher education in the nation. Affiliate TBR institutions include six universities and 26 technology centers. The TBR educates more than 180,000 students each year.
